Don't turn a temporary address into another long-term account

Built for short-term signups

Free trials need an email—not necessarily your primary inbox

When a website only requires one verification, a software trial email keeps signup messages separate from everyday mail while still letting you read the full message.

01 / SIGN UP

Verify first, then decide whether to stay

Use a temporary address for the six-digit code or confirmation link. If the trial proves useful, switch to your regular email inside the service.

02 / ISOLATE

Keep promotional follow-ups in a disposable inbox

Welcome emails, discount reminders, and upgrade notices stay out of your work inbox, leaving it for relationships you intend to keep.

03 / READ

More than a code-only inbox

See the message list, sender, arrival time, and preview in one pane, with safe reading for common HTML emails.

Where it fits

Use temporary addresses for short tasks and recoverable email for important accounts

Disposable email reduces signup exposure, but it is not designed for a permanent identity. Consider whether an account needs recovery, payments, or ongoing communication before choosing an address.

01

Short trials and file downloads

Use a temporary inbox and keep it only until you have read the verification code and download notice.

02

You may use it again later

Try it first, then switch the product account to a recoverable email before the temporary address expires.

03

Banking, healthcare, and core identity

Use a long-term email and enable multi-factor authentication. Do not place account recovery in a short-lived address.

Three common scenarios

Give every short task its own email boundary

One temporary address can handle the messages for your current task. Use a new address for a different task so senders and follow-ups are easier to recognize.

Free software trials

Receive signup codes, device confirmations, and trial-start notices; decide whether to keep the account after you know the product works for you.

One-time downloads

When a whitepaper, template, or event resource requires an email, a separate address keeps ongoing marketing out of your primary inbox.

Signing up for unfamiliar communities

Use a separate address to verify new forums, tools, or test environments, reducing the chance that your address is linked across services.

From address to message

Receive email without changing tabs

The address appears as soon as it is created. Copy it into the signup form, return here and refresh, then open the message from the left-hand list when it arrives.

1

Copy the current address

The button copies the complete address to your clipboard, so no characters are lost during manual selection.

2

Submit the signup form

Request a verification code or confirmation email on the target site while keeping the current address visible here.

3

Refresh and open the email

Click the row to see the sender, subject, time, and message. Demo content gives way automatically when real mail arrives.

Choosing an address

Disposable inboxes and forwarding aliases solve different problems

Choose based on how long the relationship will last; not every signup needs the same email setup.

Temporary inbox

Best for signups, verification, and downloads that take minutes or a few hours.

  • No sign-in required
  • Three hours by default
  • Ends naturally when the task is complete

Long-term forwarding alias

Best for ongoing notifications when you do not want to reveal your real address.

  • Verification-code login
  • Pause or delete aliases
  • 30-day email archive

Frequently asked questions

Before you get started, check these details

Temporary email is a short-term communication tool. Understanding its lifetime, delivery process, and limits helps reduce verification delays and account-recovery risks.

How long does this software trial email last?

A new address is kept for three hours by default. The page shows the remaining time; if your task is not finished, you can extend it later, up to 24 hours total.

Why haven't I received my verification code yet?

The sender may take several dozen seconds to queue the message. Wait one minute before refreshing and make sure the address is correct on the signup page. Too many repeated requests can also trigger sender rate limits.

Can I recover an important account with a temporary email?

We do not recommend it. Once the address expires, it cannot serve as a reliable recovery channel. For accounts involving payments, identity, healthcare, work, or long-term subscriptions, use an email you control continuously.

What are the demo emails in my inbox?

They only demonstrate how verification and sharing notifications look and do not request third-party network access. Demo emails are removed from the list when real mail arrives.

When should I use a forwarding alias instead?

A forwarding alias is better when a site will keep sending orders, invoices, project updates, or login alerts. You can keep the alias without revealing your primary email.
